Beginning this May 2019, there will be an additional term for students to take courses in! We are excited to launch this term as a flexible option for courses taken mid-year!
When does the May term take place?
The May term will begin May 20 and finish on July 27.
Why have a May term?
It is always our goal to continually improve the program for you as our students! The new May term allows students to take a course earlier in the year than the June term, while still allowing time for rest and vacations! This option also allows students to overlap courses for a shorter time and take more courses than normally able without feeling the full weight of multiple courses at once.
Will this effect the June term?
The June term will continue as normal! The June term will take place June 24-August 31.
Do the May and June terms overlap?
Yes, the terms will overlap for a period of 5 weeks, meaning that if you take a course in each term, you will only be in 2 courses for a shorter amount of time, which will enable to you to complete 2 courses quicker without taking on the full load of 2 courses in a regular term.
Can I take a course in both May and June?
Absolutely! Taking courses in both terms can help maximize your time because you will be able to complete two courses in 15 weeks without the full weight of two courses in a regular 10-week term.
Am I required to take a May and/or June course?
May or June courses are not required. Students are still able to take off 2 terms per academic year, or two terms consecutively, whichever comes first.
The May term will be considered a part of the greater May-June superterm, which is the combination of both May and June for enrollment purposes only.
For example, if one course is taken during the May-June term [one course in May, no course in June], registering No-Courses for the other term will not count toward students’ overall two terms off per year. If no courses are taken during the May-June term [no courses in May or June], this one term would count toward one of two No-Course terms.
What courses are offered?
New Testament Theology for Application
Survey of Reformed Theology
Biblical Theology of Worship
History of Christianity II
When can I register?
Registration for both May and June terms will be open April 19-26.
